Asthma Physicians

Asthma physicians, also known as allergists, are immunologists who have received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies. This includes asthma, which often has an allergy-related cause. Asthma physicians are skilled at designing and administering allergy tests, as well as developing comprehensive treatment programs tailored for individual patients.

At McGovern Allergy and Asthma Clinic, our staff is comprised of physicians who are proven experts in the field. Five of our doctors are double-boarded in pediatrics and allergy, while one is double-boarded in allergy and internal medicine. Our distinguished team of physicians includes several professors at the Baylor College of Medicine, as well as present and former members of such prestigious medical societies as the American Medical Association; Harris County Medical Society; American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas Medical Association and Greater Houston Allergy Society.

As recognized authorities in the field of allergies and asthma, many of our physicians are regularly called upon to give lectures on the topic to various groups, and many publish their allergy-related research in academic journals. Yet despite their high levels of involvement in the allergy community, all of our physicians are interested, first and foremost, in the health and well-being of our patients.

When you receive treatment for your asthma or allergies from McGovern, you can be assured that you are getting first-rate care. Our physicians work with patients one-on-one to design the best possible methods of treatment, and monitor patient progress over the course of months, years, and even decades. We are always happy to answer patients' questions about asthma, allergies, or related disorders, and strive to give each patient the greatest possible degree of relief.
