Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make an appointment if I've never seen a McGovern provider before?

New patients are always welcome. Please have ready your insurance policy, phone number, and whether you have a PCP (Primary Care Physician). This information should be provided when scheduling your appointment.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Since allergy testing is possible, you should not take any antihistamines for seven (7) days prior to your first appointment. You may continue your other medications.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If you are a new patient, bring your insurance card, and referral, if needed by your Primary Care Physician.

Established patients need not bring an insurance card or referral unless your insurance or Primary Care Physician has changed since your last visit. If your insurance requires a referral for each visit, please bring the referral with you.
